About the Course
This week prepares the students for the 2025-2026 season from game manual, robot background research, to building their first hero robot and run teamwork matches. Students will learn the pros and cons of hero robot build and come up with the robot design strategy and robot game strategy after season begins. Student will have chance to choose their future competition teammates. The VEX IQ Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, is the largest and fastest growing elementary and middle school (Grade 4-8) robotics program globally. Each year, an exciting engineering challenge is presented in the form of a game. Students, with guidance from their teachers and mentors, build innovative robots and compete year-round. * More than 20,000 teams from 50+ countries playing in over 1,000 tournaments * In-state qualifiers, Regional Championship, and World Championship competition events * Teamwork Challenge: Two teams driving robots with joysticks to score * Robot Skills Challenge: One robot programmed playing to score
