Jian is the founder of Robotfun Academy, dedicated to bringing STEM education to communities. With a PhD in engineering and over 15 years of technical and management experience in global manufacturing and production automation, Jian combines deep industry expertise with agile leadership. He applies this knowledge daily to coach competition teams, fostering skills in innovation, risk management, and teamwork.

Kim Vanaman
Public Speaking Specialist
Debate Team Coach
Kim Vanaman is the director of middle school speech teams and an experienced teacher with a strong background in theatre and dance. During her time as a speech team parent, Kim participated as a judge, coach, and winning competitor in alumni/judge events. Kim believes in making public speaking a fun activity for kids and adults of all ages; she strives to create a comfortable and supportive environment for students to develop this life skill in her classes.

Renan Jewell
Class Lead Instructor
Competition Team Programming Coach
With a master degree from Boston University Autonomous and Systems, Renan is a robotics engineer with hands-on experience in autonomous control and system integration. Renan brings strong skills in Python, C++, mechanical design, and prototyping. Renan is passionate about teaching students ranging from LEGO-based learning for young kids to full autonomous controls for high schoolers.
Rahim Babali
Classroom Lead Instructor
Rahim is a software developer with years of experience working with Java and modern web technologies. He enjoys introducing students to robotics and coding through hands-on projects that build problem-solving and logical thinking skills. Rahim is passionate about inspiring young learners to explore STEM and develop confidence with technology.
