About the Course

Combination of projects selected from LEGO Essential robotics and VEX GO robotics fills the students' day with building, coding and a fun day of playing. LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential is the cross-curricular STEAM solution for elementary education. SPIKE Essential engages students in hands-on investigation of STEAM concepts while contributing to literacy, math, and social-emotional development. By using everyday themes and relatable Minifigures, students with different personalities are encouraged to solve problems through storytelling. The VEX GO platform is designed for elementary school students and aims to introduce them to the basics of robotics and engineering through hands-on activities that involve building and assembling VEX GO robots. Students learn about different mechanical structures, use of connectors, and other building techniques. Students are introduced to program VEX GO robots using a simple and age-appropriate programming language or graphical interface. Students may learn how to control the movements and actions of their robots.
