About the Course

This specially designed camp is for legacy VEX IQ and VEX V5 competition teams only to start in the summer. Students should have competed in at least one VEX IQ and V5 Robotics Competition season to qualify and be able to work independently under limited coach supervision, following standard competition practice. Students should be self-driven and have a clear goal or passion for the upcoming competition season, VEX IQ “Level Up”, or VEX V5 "Override" (V5 material cost extra). Design your first robot, test your design, document your findings in the engineering notebook, and continue through iterations. Test and validate your new season robot designs — from drivetrain and intake to scoring mechanisms — that may directly contribute to your team’s season progress. Not forming a team yet? No worries — this is the time to build, test, and try out your ideas. Students completing the summer elite camp may move on to either standard teams or elite teams. This is a 4-week camp package offered at discounted rate after all promotions. Choose any 4 weeks during the summer in June, July and August. It can also be applied toward any coding camp.
