(G7-12) AI Robot Car and Machine Learning
The course is specifically designed for 7 -12 grade middle school and high schools’ students who are interested in AI and its applications with a variety of lectures, coding projects, and testing.
Throughout the course, students will,
-
Gain hands-on experience with electrical engineering hardware, wiring, soldering, and parts assembly.
-
Gain advanced Arduino and Python programming skills.
-
CAD design software from TinkerCAD (G6-8) to OnShape CAD (G8-12) and 3D printing technology.
- Practice leading technologies in AI, CNN training and image processing.
- Exposure to the world of AI and take the opportunity to explore your potential in this promising but competition intensive field.
OVERVIEW:
-
Each student will design 3D modules and assemble them to build up an advanced robot car.
-
(Intermediate Level) Students will develop holistic programs for robot car control, sensor data collection, and image capture upon Arduino and computer.
-
(Advanced Level) Every student will learn to implement the functions of objective detections, facial, and character recognitions based on openCV and convolution neural network (CNN).
This course will entail:
-
Both individual and team-oriented work
-
Hand-on hardware and coding projects
PREREQUISITES
