About the Course

What’s Included: Robot Materials * Robot electronics and consumables materials for up to 2 robots per team each season. Extra robot cost of $5,000 will be shared across the team. Technology Access * One team laptop for programming and documentation needs. Coaching * Coaching robot research, design, and iterative improvements * Coaching teamwork, programming, and competition readiness (in-state and out-of-state) * Coaching in time management, risk assessment, presentation skills, and leadership development Facility Access * Classroom and competition field in business open hours, excluding after-business hours, holidays, and school breaks. What’s Not Included: * Federal holidays and school breaks, including: *Labor Day: Sep 7, 2026 *Thanksgiving Break: Nov 26 – Nov 29, 2026 *Christmas and New Year Break: Dec 23, 2026 – Jan 3, 2027 *Winter Break: Feb 15 – 19, 2027 *Spring Break: Apr 19 – 23, 2027 *Memorial Weekend: May 29-31, 2027 * Competition event registration fees * National Competition Travel expenses Team Composition: * Size: 4–6 members per team * Roles: Builders, Designer, Coders, Notebook Managers, Strategist, Scout, Captain Team Levels: *Middle School Division: Grades 8–9 *High School Division: Grades 9–12 Payments: * $5,500 due by the first week of September 2026 * $4,000 due by the first week of January 2027 Promotions: * Legacy Discount: 5% off for legacy competition students * Sibling Discount: 5% off for sibling enrolled either in V5 or IQ program
